Masterclass: Public-Private Contracting for HIV and Other Essential Health Services

This resource is a PowerPoint template that can be adapted to conduct a masterclass on public-private contracting for HIV and other essential health services. In many countries, national HIV programs are delivered mostly in public health facilities. The private health sector has human, financial, and other resources that can support the national HIV response. These are largely untapped. This template discusses the motivation for public-private contracting, the principles of contracting, the SHOPS Plus contracting lifecycle, learning activities, and wrap up. This template is adapted from a training held by SHOPS Plus for the Botswana Ministry of Health and Wellness on public-private contracting in December 2020.
