About Awa Dieng

Awa Dieng is the country program manager for the SHOPS Plus family planning program in Nigeria. She also provides technical support to the SHOPS Plus Senegal team on social marketing activities. Dieng is a global health professional with 10 years of experience in international development. Her background includes program management, capacity building, health systems strengthening, neglected tropical diseases and m-Health. She has experience working on USAID-funded projects in global health and has conducted numerous trainings in the sub-Saharan Africa region. Dieng holds a master's degree in public administration and a bachelor's degree in management information systems from Southern Illinois University Carbondale.
