Transferring knowledge on contracting with SENASA to local NGO cooperative

While SHOPS Plus is supporting five non-governmental organizations, there are many others that may want to contract with the Seguro Nacional de Salud (SENASA), the public health insurance company, and other insurance companies as a sustainable revenue source. To support their efforts, SHOPS Plus shares its knowledge of the contracting process to a local HIV NGO cooperative and prepare the cooperative to assist its member organizations to contract with insurance companies in the future. As part of this support, SHOPS Plus developed a manual documenting the steps required to contract with SENASA. The project has provided this manual to the Grupo Consultivo de Servicios Clinicos de VIH and is training cooperative representatives to help navigate other non-governmental organizations through the contracting process.
